Use of outsourcing has long been established within the recruitment sector; from simple administrative or back office tasks to in-depth partnerships which address process inefficiencies and free up skilled staff to focus on business growth and client relationships. Teams based offshore can often deliver the greatest financial savings but require clear management and skilful implementation to deliver the benefits – those long-standing companies with a track record and can demonstrate results can make a big difference.
But cost savings can often become a driving force; seeking to attain greater savings becoming the raison d’etre. Setting up your own division offshore, a ‘captive’ supplier can, on paper, deliver even greater savings when you don’t have to pay the profit margin of your outsource partner. And on paper, that could be true, because what is not being costed in is the expertise and experience of the supplier, their established procedures and protocols, their local knowledge, employees, infrastructure – in fact, all of the things that are included in the profit margin. Factor those in and setting up your own offshore business can ultimately lead to a very expensive exercise indeed.
If you still feel this is the way to go; the BOT model – build, operate and transfer – makes a very easy entry to an overseas market with very little risk. You essentially utilise all the expertise and support of your outsource supplier by basing your own team within their offices. You can put your own management in or key team members or rely on their management and employees and they will help you to build your own, dedicated outsourced team with all of the support and infrastructure that is required. They will help you to build and operate it and if you want, once it is established, they will help to transfer the entire outfit to you to operate yourself. Or you could just leave it in their capable hands.
QX Recruitment Services operates a number of BOT model services to clients – each one totally independent with its own way of working, utilising its own systems, and reporting for its own respective agency head office.
